Things to do before your waxing appointment

1 • Let it grow for around 2-3 weeks before your appointment
2. Lightly exfoliate the area your getting waxed to lift any trapped hairs and to remove dead skin cells.
3. Leave your nerves at the door. We’re a super friendly non judgmental salon. Years of waxing experience please give us a call or a message if you have any questions or if you need any nerves settling ☺️

Lets talk waxing!

It will take around 3-4 waxes to get the best result from waxing. This is because shaving or any other type of hair removal techniques remove hairs from the base of the skin and not the root, making all hairs grow at diffrent rates. Some hairs become dormant and some grow at super speed 😲 Don’t worry as your on the road to smoother skin for longer!

We want to get your hairs waxed in the active growth stage (Anagen). This is why we suggest getting waxed every 4-6 weeks.

Your waxing specialist will be able to look at the hairs removed and advise you when next to come in to get the best results. We typically start our clients on every 4 weeks gradually increasing to 6 or even longer (if your a lucky one) 😉

After your first wax you will notice a few hairs poke out after a few days. Do not panic and run to the razor! These are hairs from previously shaving. (It takes 12 weeks to get all shaven hairs out) Do not worry we will be able to get them next time. Notice that your hair growth has slowed by almost half.

Remember waxing is a process. Be patient, feel the best results you’ve ever had and you’ll never look back ❤️

Can I be waxed whilst I’m on my period?

YES! Of course, you can. Just wear a tampon just tuck string up and out of the way or I will move the string. Or wear a moon cup whatever suits you best. You may feel more sensitive during this time so if you do come on and you really don’t think you can hack the wax please give us a call and we will happily reschedule your appointment for you, We understand were all women here!

Q – Wont the string get caught and come out?

A – NO! in all my years of waxing I have never accidentally waxed someone’s tampon out and I really don’t intend on doing so. I ensure there is no way this will happen so please don’t worry about this happening.
